Being plagued with technical setbacks caused “Overexposure” to be the single that took the longest time to create out of all the others. Even with these setbacks, the vision of this song never waned. Heavy guitars, booming drums and mesmerizing vocals continued to be the driving force. Working with new sounds and new vocal techniques continues to allow Ricardo & Rebecca’s music to not be predictable. Their music keeps your interest piqued, makes lasting impressions, and transcends multiple genres. Lyrically, each song paints an emotional journey, and this single will certainly not disappoint! We are excited to announce the return of Diego Missaglia on the guitar solo and the amazing opportunity of working with world famous Brazilian drummer, Elcio Cáfaro (Caravela Escalarte, Karisma Records).

Who says a song cannot be completed in 24 hours? That is exactly what happened here. Ricardo and Rebecca met over another song where he had invited another vocalist. He stated maybe they could work together in the future. In a few days he sent her this music track. It immediately resonated with Rebecca and she found lyrics, created a melody and sent her vocal track. He put it together and it was a masterpiece.

This is the second collaboration that Ricardo and Rebecca started. This was not completed in 24 hours, but more over time. Oddly this song was completed backwards. They actually had a better vision for its ending than it beginning. After some laughs and restructuring of an interlude that sounded more "bolero", Standing In The Void was finished. Marcelo Breve gave us a perfectly fit guitar solo and Luiz Muniz gave his talents on the drums.

A beautiful classical guitar playing a motif from the piano piece "Cristofori's Dream" by David Lanz is how this began. Layering in Rebecca's vocals with Ricardo's bass and bongos absolutely makes this a stunning piece of music. Thank you to Igor Banholzer for all of your help with this project, all the way from Germany!

How was “Delirium” created? It started with this one phrase that Ricardo sent Rebecca with the raw music track, “I have a gift for you”. In a few short hours, lyrics and a vocal melody were created. Music creates memories. The band knows exactly where they were the first time they heard the mastered song. Listen and you’ll remember too.
Rafael "Frank" Moreno is the featured guitarist in this song.

This song was the one that has taken the longest to complete. It went under many lyric revisions and other musical changes. The introduction was actually created from a singing voice message Rebecca left Ricardo. He listened to the message while choosing tomatoes at the market. You never know where you will find inspiration. Luiz Muniz and Rafael Moreno are back collaborating with Ricardo and Rebecca on this song. This certainly has a classic rock vibe. Take a listen, do you agree?

Sometimes one song leads to another! That's what happened here. During the chorus creation process of another song, Ricardo grabbed a very interesting chord sequence with a 'dark' atmosphere. "Once again the inspiration knocked on our doors" and the entire instrumental part of The Other Place was recorded in a single night. Rebecca realized that she had yet another very special song in her hands and quickly defined the lyrics. She sang in one take each of the three vocal lines of this song. The result is impressive! The lyrics are a chapter apart and speak in an elegant and poetic way about what can happen after death.

Taking a chance ...
If Rebecca had not stumbled across this music track on Kompoz.com, maybe they would have never met and “Delirium” would never have existed. This music track was initially composed for a male vocalist, but she didn’t know. Rebecca took a chance and offered to send a vocal for this song. Ricardo let her know it was written for another vocalist, but maybe they could work on another together and that is how their music partnership began. Six months later, Ricardo revisited this track, sent Rebecca the music and said “Now show me what you would have done”. Rebecca took that challenge, listen to the result.

“The hardest part was to get you to like it” …
Ricardo saw potential in a few musical ideas started by guitarist Rafael Moreno … Rebecca did not hear anything but musical interludes. She listened many times but could not find a melody. Ricardo worked on a bass line and challenged Rafael to create more. The outline of the song was then again sent to Rebecca. She listened over and over and paired it with an intriguing set of lyrics. A vocal melody with mysterious harmonies was born. “See,” Ricardo said, “The hardest part was to get you to like it.” With Raphael Vendramini’s drums and having the opportunity to work with keyboardist Ronaldo Rodriguez from Caravela Escalarte, the song is complete. They will go on ...

"It's important to let the music breathe in certain moments" ...
That's something that Ricardo and Rebecca learned during the creation process. Not only each individual song, but the album should tell a history. It starts with good energy, gets more intense and then calms down and "breathes" a little bit. That's what Ricardo had in mind when he invited guitarist Danilo Castro. "We were looking for a different approach, more acoustic but needed to keep our progressive rock roots. The result? A great folk-rock ballad, full of beautiful guitar harmonies and one unforgettable performance by Rebecca Riss". This is a song you will never forget …

“Embracing the unknown can reveal a paragon” …
As Ricardo & Rebecca were putting together the puzzle of music themes and ideas for a new song, Ricardo shared a video with Rebecca. This video reminded her of her childhood when she would spend hours walking on dirt paths deep into the woods. Many times these wooded areas would have a slight covering of snow with so much fog hanging low, you did not know what you would find around the corner. This song developed much the same way. Each time Ricardo & Rebecca thought where this song was leading them, an unexpected change happened. Embracing the unknown and allowing the sound to lead them is what you will find in their new single “Hear The Call”. This single features Michael Vuckovac on drums from Germany with an intense guitar solo from Diego Missaglia of Brazil.
